As a Cloud Ops Level (GCP + Linux) 2 professional, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires a high level of expertise in Azure services, cloud management, and Linux OS support/administration, collaboration with Networking, AD, Cyber, Terraform, ServiceNow, and Automation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and manage GCP resources such as virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, and GCP data services.
Monitor and optimize GCP infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and security.
Monitor health of the cloud resources and perform daily/weekly health-check.
Monitor ServiceNow support queue for all incidents and Service Requests. Respond and resolve incidents & Service Requests based on the response SLA, resolution SLA defined.
Application deployment as per SOP.
Ensure that GCP resources and services are compliant with industry standards and company policies.
Implement and maintain security best practices for GCP, including identity and access management, firewall rules, and encryption.
Access management using GCP Lighthouse and manage Lighthouse scripts/templates.
Maintain all Service Catalog items used for cloud operations. Work with ServiceNow support team to implement new Catalog items or keep the Catalog Items up to date.
Collaborate with Terraform, ServiceNow and Automation teams in developing automation scripts and tools to streamline GCP resource provisioning and management.
Maintain accurate tags on each resource on cloud platform.
Maintain Server hardening checklist and ensure all resources are hardened as per the standard.
Create computer objects, Local Admin groups, Linux groups, Windows groups in Quest ARS tool to allow default access to support team.
Perform capacity planning and ensure resource scalability as required.
Partner with Cyber team to remediate vulnerabilities and patch the environment.
Manage Active Directory in cloud environment. Manage Domain controllers.
Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 support teams to provide timely resolutions.
Hands on experience with Unix/Linux environments.
Perform Linux administration activities, such as installation, configuration of tools or applications, disk management, volume management etc.
Support Linux Operating System on cloud. Work with application support team to troubleshoot any issues.
Maintain and report server inventory. Work with ServiceNow CMDB team to ensure all cloud resources are available and up to date in ServiceNow.
Setup alerts on certificates used within the platform.
Analyze vulnerabilities reported by Cyber tools. Plan and track remediation actions on the vulnerabilities based on priorities.
Participate in Project standup meetings related to Migration, DR Configuration etc.
Create and update documentation for GCP infrastructure and best practices.
Drive FinOps initiatives to save money on cloud infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS resources.
Manage and support MOVEit File Transfer Platform, Citrix Platform, Remote Desktop Services.
Maintain knowledge articles and standards operating procedures related to cloud operations in ServiceNow.
Work with the Software Asset Management team to ensure tracking all software licenses used on cloud platform.
Provide 24 x 7 services for Cloud Operations to support the global organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104 are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Required Skills:
Experience with GCP monitoring and management tools.
Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization tools.
Working knowledge of Linux administration tasks such as Installation, Configuration, Disk Management, Volume Management etc.
Preferred Skills:
Troubleshooting Linux OS/kernel issues.
Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
