Role : Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer
Job Description: As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer on the Eureka project within QxAME, he/she will be responsible for owning the design, development, and maintenance of the data analytics platform that powers Amazons revolutionary quality management solution. Eureka is a groundbreaking AI-powered analytics platform that empowers organizations to proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve quality issues across the product lifecycle.
In this role, he/she will work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality, engineering, and operations, to translate their business needs into a comprehensive, data-driven quality management solution.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning the design, development, and maintenance of datasets, ongoing metrics, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions for the Eureka project.
- Developing queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting related to the Eureka quality analytics platform.
- Continuously improving the ongoing reporting and analysis processes for Eureka, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
- Using analytical and statistical rigor to identify performance gaps and opportunities for optimization within the Eureka platform.
- Providing technical input and recommendations to the data engineering and software engineering teams supporting Eureka.
- Promoting best practices in ETL (extract, transform, load) and mentoring the team on BI/analytics capabilities.
To be successful in this role, he/she should have:
- Atleast 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies such as AWS Glue for data integration and ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines, Amazon S3 for scalable, durable object storage of structured and unstructured data, Amazon Redshift for high-performance, petabyte-scale data warehousing, Amazon DynamoDB for fast, flexible NoSQL database to store semi-structured data.
- Experience with Amazon QuickSight is highly desirable. As a cloud-based, fully managed BI service, QuickSight will be a critical component of the Eureka platform, allowing you to build and deploy interactive dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Your expertise in leveraging AWS services and tools, combined with your proficiency in QuickSight, will be instrumental in designing and implementing a scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly data analytics solution for the Eureka project.
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
