Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Data Scientist to spearhead our data science initiatives. As the Lead Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of our data science team, leading projects, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to drive project success.
Define and prioritize data science projects in alignment with business goals, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.
Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data science initiatives.
Design and implement end-to-end data science solutions, including data collection, preprocessing, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
Utilize advanced machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data mining algorithms to extract insights and drive decision-making.
Lead the development and enhancement of data science methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure scalability, efficiency, and quality.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and incorporate them into our practices.

Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations, reports, and visualizations.
Collaborate with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data science team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

Requirements:

Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership experience.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex data science projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience managing and mentoring a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and accountability.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change, championing data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
