About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to take ownership of the data and insights that power our intelligent carrier allocation system. This system plays a pivotal role in ensuring that shipments are matched with the most suitable carrier, directly impacting operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business success.

As the primary data owner, you will work on creating simulations, validating hypotheses, and generating insights that will enhance how we allocate carriers based on key performance metrics. Your work will have a direct influence on improving delivery operations for our customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipments while maximizing the reliability of carrier selection.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Ownership:

• Oversee the data infrastructure that supports carrier allocation decisions.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data pipelines and reporting systems.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues to support better decision-making.

1. Driving Customer Impact:

• Analyze data to validate hypotheses about carrier performance and allocation strategies.
• Simulate allocation scenarios to identify potential improvements for specific customers.
• Deliver data-driven recommendations to enhance carrier allocation efficiency and precision.

1. Reporting and Analytics:

• Build and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into the performance of the carrier allocation system.
• Create detailed reports to highlight trends, pinpoint issues, and quantify the impact of allocation decisions.

1. Simulations and Insights for Customers:

• Develop and execute simulations to showcase the impact of carrier allocation strategies for customers.
• Provide actionable insights to customers, helping them understand how allocation decisions drive their delivery outcomes.

1. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine the allocation algorithm based on data trends and customer feedback.
• Drive the development of new features that improve carrier allocation accuracy and scalability.

• Demonstrable improvements in carrier allocation efficiency, resulting in better alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
• Positive customer feedback on simulations and insights provided.
• A robust data infrastructure that supports real-time, data-driven decision-making.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, simulation modeling, and automation.
• Expertise in SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
• Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create insightful dashboards.
• Strong understanding of statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or logistics analytics.
• Prior exposure to logistics, supply chain, or operations-related data analysis is a significant advantage.
