ClaySys Technologies - Network Infrastructure Engineer - Routing & Switching (2-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPNs.

- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure optimal performance and security.

- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.

- Implement and manage security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls to safeguard network infrastructure.

- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both physical and virtual servers, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.

- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g , Azure, AWS, GCP) for hybrid or fully cloud-based environments to enhance scalability and flexibility.

- Conduct regular backups, develop disaster recovery plans, and perform failover testing to ensure data integrity and system availability.

- Ensure that all network and IT infrastructure align with organizational IT policies, industry standards, and compliance requirements.

- Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs for applications and services, providing expertise on network architecture and optimization.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to network infrastructure to enhance performance and security.

Required Qualifications :

- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).

- Strong experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) and network troubleshooting.

- Knowledge and experience in managing network security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control measures.

- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management (Azure, AWS, GCP) in hybrid or fully cloud-based environments.

- Solid understanding of backup strategies, disaster recovery, and failover processes.

- Ability to ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry best practices.

- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at all levels.

- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and trends, implementing relevant solutions to improve infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or AWS/Azure certifications.

- Experience with SD-WAN, network automation tools, or scripting (Python, PowerShell).

- Knowledge of storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.

- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and practices to enhance service management
