JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Position Title: Manager Technical Services

Grade: M1/M2

Location: Pelhar (Vasai), MH

Reports to (Position): Head Operations

I. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Responsible for providing Global Technical Services for all the product portfolios, especially for Auto OEMs and their tier supplier’s.

2. To attend technical issues/ complaints as & when required.

3. To analyze complaint trends, give inputs to the factory and communicate back to the customer.

4. To facilitate trials for new developments.

5. To provide technical and product related support to internal and external customers and sales team.

6. Satisfy customer through process & product improvements.

7. Corrective actions implementation & sustenance.

8. Conducting trials at customer end for new introduction of Raw Materials, Processes or finished goods.

II. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

• Functional expert in the areas of Technical Services, Customer Handling and trend analysis.
• Understanding of structure-properties relations of the RMs/Monomers used in adhesives, inks, paints, coatings and its effect on final performance of the product.
• Capable of co-relating product behavior with polymer properties and arriving at right technical solutions.
• Experience in Screen printing for Graphics (Decals), Industrial Tapes manufacturing would be preferable.
• Experience in Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSAs), Adhesive coating, Ink Formulations, Polymeric films like PVC, PET, PC etc., would be preferable.

(if above exposure is not available the closest next would be, exposure in solvent-based Paints and Varnishes)

• Knowledge of different analytical techniques like FT-IR, GPC, DSC, TGA etc.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Technical selling capabilities & Negotiation Skills
• Cost Management.
• Communication skills - verbal & written.

III. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

• B. Tech/BE - Paint Technologies (Paints, Coatings) or Print Technology OR M.Sc. (Chemistry), Worked in Paint/ Coating Industry or Worked for Automotive OEMs and handled similar job profile
