Accounts Executive / Sr. Accounts Executive

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals and have in-depth expertise in GST, TDS, and ITR. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing tax compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and assist in resolving any issues promptly.
• Manage GST returns and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Prepare, review, and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) accurately and on time.
• Conduct monthly GST reconciliations and coordinate with the tax department for audits and assessments.
• Stay up to date with GST laws and updates, ensuring the business is compliant with all requirements.
• Oversee the calculation, deduction, and timely remittance of TDS.
• Ensure proper maintenance of TDS records
• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the company and other entities as required.
• Ensure compliance with income tax regulations and deadlines.
• Provide timely assistance in tax audits and assessments.
• Maintain proper documentation for all income tax filings and related compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to junior accountants and team members.
• Coordinate with other departments (HR, Legal, Procurement) for accurate financial data integration.
• Assist in external and internal audits and provide required documentation.
• Prepare reports related to financial performance, taxes, and compliance matters for management review.

Qualification & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CA (Intermediate)
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting and taxation, with a focus on GST, TDS, and ITR.
• Proven experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles and tax laws.
• Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, SAP, or similar ERP tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
