Public Policy Research Assistant

Job Summary: The research assistant will be responsible for the creating and analyzing key Central and State policy issues across multiple verticals. He/ She will also be required to prepare various reports and other research outputs as part of this role. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to gain a birds eye view of contemporary policy issues which are expected to determine the contours of governance in India in the foreseeable future.

Desired Qualifications:

- Graduate degree from a respectable institute in Public Policy, Humanities, Law or any other relevant discipline

- Strong Proficiency in Quality and Quantitative Research

- Should be having a keen attention to detailed studies.

- One or more years of full-time experience in active Policy Research with a government department, think tank, research organization, etc.

- A reasonable understanding of Indias public policy landscape, across multiple policy verticals

- A brief understanding of various research methodologies

- Past experience of working on a government project will be a plus

- Ability to participate in policy advocacy activities

Responsibilities:

- Primary and Secondary Public Policy Research

- Preparation of policy briefs on multiple topics

- Policy Research dissemination

- Liaising with various stakeholders, including government departments

- Routine administrative tasks, as and when required

- Making a detailed Policy Research Reports
