Experience - 3 - 5 years
Location - Hyderabad (Work from Office)
Shift Timings: 11am 8pm Or 2pm -11pm

Primary skills:

Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Services
Experience in Maintaining and Configuring Virtual Machines, Storage, and Network Configurations on GCP
Experience in System Administration with Knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems

Good to have skills

Proficiency in Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
Experience with Disaster Recovery Exercises on-premises and in the Cloud
Certification in Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS/Google)

Open Systems Engineer with Google Backup and Disaster Recovery (GCPBDR) Expertise
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and configure virtual machines, storage, and network configurations on GCP.
Monitor Google Cloud environments for alerts and troubleshoot issues.
Manage all aspects of server infrastructure resource provisioning, performance monitoring, and security compliance.
Handle Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles and cost optimization.
Perform system engineering solutions, systems administration, ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and business continuity planning (BCP).
Engage in problem-solving, systems configuration, and implementation efforts for large and complex projects.
Emphasize operational excellence and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures.
Plan, document procedures, and coordinate activities with local and remote team members and customers.
Demonstrate flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid technology changes and complex customer demands.
Show willingness to learn and engage with other technologies such as Cloud Protection Manager (CPM for AWS platform), Azure Backup, VMware, Hyper-V, HPE Apollo systems, Windows servers, Linux servers, and IBM libraries.

Technical Skills Required

Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including data storage, processing tools, and AI/machine learning services.
Experience in maintaining and configuring virtual machines, storage, and network configurations on GCP.
Knowledge of appliance upgrade processes and implementation.
Ability to ensure smooth communication between cloud components and services.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks, deploying infrastructure, and managing cloud resources.
Understanding of best practices, compliance standards, and encryption to secure cloud infrastructure and data.
Skills in alert configuration, reporting, and monitoring on GCP.
Familiarity with access and identity management to protect information stored on the cloud.
Experience as a System Administrator with knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
Knowledge of ransomware protection standards.
Experience with Microsoft Windows 2019,2021 and newer operating systems.
Experience in disaster recovery exercises on-premises and in the cloud.
Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with internal customers.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment without supervision.
Strong experience in a Microsoft-centric environment for application support and troubleshooting.

Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements

Certification in Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS/Google).

Education

Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) or equivalent.

Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or relevant experience and accomplishments.
2-4 years of experience in the IT field.
2-3 years of experience in Google Cloud.
3+ years of experience in engineering, design, implementation, maintenance, application and system upgrades, performance monitoring, backups and restores, support in IBM AIX, Linux, and MS Windows servers.
2+ years in GCP administration.
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
