Infrastructure Engineer III

As an Infrastructure Engineer (L3), you will work alongside the IT Director or other senior team members on projects that aim to update technologies, reduce costs, improve efficiency, and position the company for future growth through acquisition and organic expansion.

Here is more of what you ll get to do:

Understand technical requirements for both performance and uptime, and ensure the infrastructure supports the objectives of the company
Overseeing infrastructure projects (planning, stakeholder communications, etc)
Deliver technical services that meet requirements and standards
Produce documentation for projects and adhere to documentation standards
Implementation and management of highly available and redundant infrastructure systems
Acting as a point of escalation for critical technical issues
Auditing and maintaining infrastructure configurations
Mentoring and supporting mid-level and junior engineers
Must demonstrate a dedication to continuous improvement, both in terms of skills, process, and cross-department communication
Position takes part in an on-call rotation (approximately once every three months)

You ll thrive in this role if you have:

Have a solid to excellent understanding of networking principles and concepts and experience working on a variety of firewall appliances and load-balancers.
Be highly familiar with both Microsoft and Open Source operating systems and signature technologies (Active Directory, IIS, Apache, Elasticsearch, SQL, mySQL, etc).
Some experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Have a strong understanding of storage solutions and protocols.
Have a good understanding of complex backup and disaster recovery solutions and their implementations
Demonstrate an understanding of security and compliance principles (i.e. PCI-DSS, SOC2, etc)
A flexible approach to working hours. Working outside of normal business hours may be required at times.
Possess excellent documentation, time management and prioritization skills.
Strong English spoken and written skills.
Demonstrate previous IT engineering experience in a SaaS or enterprise environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment which may at times be stressful.
