Area Legal Manager

Need Skill:

• LLB with minimum of 6 years of experience in litigation and legal collection in Home loan or Mortgage or LAP I & similar industries in commercial arbitration shall be an added advantage.
• Excellent working knowledge of 138 NI Act, Sec 25 Settlement Act, arbitration, conciliation, Lok Adalat, CPC, CrPc, IPC etc.
• Excellent Knowledge of local jurisdiction and good connection with authorities.
• Excellent drafting skills for complains, FIR, written submission, application, petition, legal notices etc.
• Procedural and working knowledge of courts, appellate forums, judicial framework, arbitrary tribunals, Lok Adalat etc.
• The ability to perform task proactively, thoroughly, orderly and independently
• Excellent command of Hindi and English language, both written and Spoken.

Job Description or Role and Responsibility:

• Manage the portfolio of debt collection from legal perspective for assigned geography.
• Follow up with delinquent cases personally, along with the collection manager, along the collection team in support of local police.
• Support in recovery on high value NPA write off cases. Also support the collection team to collect and resolve the current bounce,
• Responsible for setting the target of field legal work for collection making sure that weekly/ monthly target for self and team is achieved on time.
• ensure the settlement process gets followed up as per the laid down process.
• Guide, train, strategic and roll out approved SOP to the Law firms/ Advocate in person or by conference calls to ensure the entire information of management reaches the entire team.
• implementing legal collection strategies at the regional and area level for efficient collection and recovery of outstating loans.
• Controlling the cost of legal collection as per organizational thought and industry standards.
• Prepare writes, defence, submission and other pleadings in cases filed against the company in consumer forums and commission.
• Prepare, file, and plead cases in commercial court in pursuit of amounts owed to the company
• Ensure Sec 138 of the NI Act, Sec 25 of the settlement Act, Arbitration and summary suit get filed as per laid down the timeline.
• Innovate the current legal collection process in line with the best market practices.
