Drilling & Blasting Engineer

• Minimum 5-9 years of experience in the mining industry
• Demonstrated expertise in drilling and blasting operations
• Proven track record of successful project management in mining operations

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mining Engineering (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing drilling & blasting plan in advance to achieve the budgeted target of production volume in line with Annual Business Plan.
• Designing the drilling & blasting pattern looking into the geo-mechanical properties of the ore body
• Minimizing the blasting frequency to avoid idle crawling hour of the equipment s during blasting time
• Conducting blast vibration study from the recognized institutes and implementing the recommendations to optimize the blasting efficiency.
• Studying, analyzing and implementing advance blasting technologies for optimum utilization of explosive energy
• Prepare, monitor and update production data associated with drilling and blasting activities. Review Q/A data, Excavation reports and blast outputs to determine areas of further improvement to minimize the drill and blast cost
• Create a chart of critical inventories of drill machines and deciding the min max inventory level at the site store
• Preparing KPI s of drilling & blasting activities
• Development of detailed safe work procedure
• Giving on time information to obtain the approvals/permissions from the PESO office.
