SAP Security Consultant - HANA/ECC Modules (8-14 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

SAP Security Management :

- Design, implement, and maintain security architecture for SAP HANA DB, SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP BTP environments, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards.

- Manage user roles, authorizations, profiles, and access control mechanisms across SAP systems.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, implementing corrective actions and recommendations to mitigate risks.

SAP HANA DB & ECC Security :

- Ensure the security of SAP HANA DB by configuring access controls, encryption, and secure connections.

- Oversee security measures within SAP ECC systems, ensuring proper role management and Segregation of Duties (Sac) to prevent unauthorized access.

SAP BW & BTP Security :

- Implement and enforce security policies for SAP BW and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), focusing on secure data handling, user access, and integration with other systems.

- Collaborate with the IT team to define security configurations, manage security patches, and monitor system health.

Security Operations Center (SOC) Integration :

- Work closely with the SOC to monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely identification and resolution of threats across SAP systems.

- Design and implement security logging, monitoring, and alerting processes to detect potential vulnerabilities or breaches in SAP environments.

Compliance & Risk Management :

- Ensure SAP systems comply with relevant security standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, and SOC 2.

- Prepare for and support internal/external audits related to SAP security.

- Develop and enforce security policies to ensure data privacy, system security, and business continuity.

Collaboration & Team Support :

- Work in close coordination with other IT teams (such as functional, technical, and infrastructure teams) to integrate security controls into SAP landscapes.

- Provide technical guidance on security-related matters during SAP projects and initiatives.

Training & Knowledge Transfer :

- Conduct security awareness training and provide ongoing guidance to teams on SAP security best practices and emerging threats.

- Stay up to date with the latest SAP security developments, updates, and tools, and apply them proactively.

Required Skills & Experience :

Experience :

- 8-14 years of experience in SAP Security, with a proven track record in managing and securing SAP environments (including SAP HANA DB, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP BTP).

- Strong hands-on experience in managing user roles, authorizations, security audits, and Segregation of Duties (Sac) in SAP systems.

Technical Expertise :

- Expertise in SAP HANA DB, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP BTP, and security integration with Security Operations Centers (SOC).

- In-depth knowledge of SAP security tools such as SAP GRC, SAP Identity Management, and SAP Solution Manager.

- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and integrating them with SAP systems for advanced monitoring.

Certifications :

- Relevant SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP Security, SAP GRC).

- Additional cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
