Role & responsibilities

Chandramari International School is seeking a qualified and passionate English teacher to join our dynamic faculty immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English literature education to secondary school students, fostering a positive learning environment and contributing to the overall academic excellence of our institution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards for English literature.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
• Effective Teaching Strategies: Utilize a variety of instructional methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring students grasp complex literary concepts and improve their language skills.
• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress regularly through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation. Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents/guardians.
• Differentiated Instruction: Tailor teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, including those with varying learning abilities, and implement strategies to support English language learners.
• Technology Integration: Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences and keep abreast of innovative teaching methodologies.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about current educational trends and participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and cohesive teaching environment, actively contributing to department meetings and school-wide initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• A master's degree in English Literature or a related field is required.
• Possess a valid teaching certification in English or a relevant subject.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for literature and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
• Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary school level, demonstrating a track record of successful student outcomes.
• Available to join the school immediately (or) latest by April 01, 2024
