Counsellor

As a Counsellor at Chandigarh University, you will be responsible for providing emotional support, guidance, and advice to students, staff, and faculty members. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate through personal, academic, and career-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students, staff, and faculty members.
2. Conduct assessments to identify the needs and concerns of individuals seeking counselling.
3. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and counselling strategies to address the specific needs of each individual.
4. Collaborate with other departments to promote mental health and well-being initiatives on campus.
5. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and progress.
6. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance counselling skills and stay updated on best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:
1. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in providing counselling services, preferably in an academic or community setting.
3. Excellent communication and active listening skills.
4. Empathy, patience, and the ability to establish rapport with diverse individuals.
5. Understanding of ethical and legal guidelines related to counselling practices.
