Script Writer

Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and imaginative Script Writer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing engaging scripts for media studios, developing storylines, dialogue, and characters that resonate with our target audience. You will work closely with directors, producers, and other creatives to bring stories to life across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write original scripts for [TV shows, films, web series, commercials, video games, etc.], ensuring content is engaging, well-structured, and aligns with the project’s goals.
• Work with the creative team to develop new story ideas, characters, and plots that fit within the brand or project vision.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure scripts are authentic, accurate, and culturally relevant. Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other team members to refine scripts, incorporate feedback, and adjust the narrative to fit production requirements.
• Craft dialogue that is authentic, dynamic, and appropriate for the characters and their respective worlds. Develop multi-dimensional characters that audiences can connect with.
• Revise and edit scripts as needed, based on feedback from stakeholders, including directors and producers, ensuring the final product is polished and aligns with creative objectives.
• Follow industry-standard script formatting and meet deadlines for script submission and revisions.
• Present new script ideas, story concepts, and treatments to the creative team and stakeholders, helping shape the direction of the project.
• Ensure continuity within the script and across the broader project, maintaining consistency in tone, style, and character development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Writing, Communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional scriptwriting experience.
• Strong portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate a clear understanding of storytelling, character development, and dialogue.
• Proficient in screenwriting software.
• Excellent command of language, with an ability to write in different genres, tones, and styles.
• Strong creative and imaginative abilities, with a passion for storytelling.
• Ability to collaborate and take feedback, while also being self-driven and confident in one’s own writing.
• Knowledge of industry standards, film/TV production processes, and narrative structure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
