QC & Testing Sr. Engineer(Transformer Industry)

Role & responsibilities

1) Testing & Validation:

• Develop and execute test plans.

• Type testing of Transformers.

• Routine testing.

• Handling inspections

• Handling certification audits BIS/BEE/ISO etc

2) Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues identified during testing.

• Collaborate with design and production teams to address and rectify defects.

3) Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure all testing activities comply with safety and quality standards.

• Maintain detailed records of test results, procedures, and any identified issues.

• Prepare reports summarizing test findings and recommendations for product improvements.

• Maintaining documentations, procedures, formats in line with the BIS/BEE/ISO/IS/IEC
requirements.

4) Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections and audits.

• Develop and implement quality control measures to reduce product defects.

• Implementing CAPA, 5S quality standards.

5) Test Equipment & Tools Management:

• Set up and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.

• Manage and maintain testing tools and facilities.

6) Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and implement best practices.

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in technologies and testing methodologies.

7) Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to workplace safety guidelines and environmental regulations.

• Conduct regular safety drills and provide training to employees.

Key Requirements:

1) Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

2) Experience: Min 5 years of experience in testing and quality assurance in distribution & power transformers.

3) Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of product standards, testing procedures.

• Familiarity with all testing equipment.

• Understanding of safety standards and certifications (IS, IEC, UL, etc.)

4) Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred candidate profile

• Certification in quality assurance or testing methodologies.

• Experience with automated testing tools and software.

• Knowledge of renewable energy and sustainable technology trends.
