Lead Embedded Engineer - SW

At Eaton India Innovation Center, this position is part of Mobility organization responsible for growing automotive embedded software and controls capabilities based on the AUTOSAR/NON-AUTOSAR SW Platforms on EV Transmission, Power Electronics, Power Distribution & Protection and Power Systems Products for CV/PV Vehicles. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.

In this role, you will work in Core Safety critical embedded software development/integration and will be part of diverse team of talented Embedded developers, Leads, Architects, Test engineers, Scrum Masters, engineers, and more. You will work with leads to set your priorities, ensuring the achievement of deliverables and other milestones.

• Lead multiple large-scale projects while working with global teams.
• Lead the software Development efforts by working with Mobility product team and others, contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of world class, high-performance, Safety critical Embedded software applications.
• Evaluate business requirements to determine potential solutions.
• Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality products that solve customer problems.
• Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions which can make significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders.
• Provide work estimates and conduct design, implementation, and code reviews.
• Continuously develop and enhance the technical capabilities of the teams to provide best in class design solutions in line with present and future business needs. Provide timely status and reports to stakeholders.

• Masters / Bachelor s Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Overall 10+ years of experience in Real time embedded software design and Development, preferably in the Automotive Domain.
• Interview and provide technical assessments of potential engineer hires
• Coach and mentor team members, assisting them in technical and process areas
• Drive culture of innovation with focus on new patent and high-impact ideas.
• Creates, and sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design verification and Validation methods and documents.

• Strong fundamentals programming in C, embedded system concepts, Embedded Software Architecture and software build process
• Good knowledge of Embedded Firmware development with 16 Bit / 32 Bit Microcontrollers including board bring-up, testing, and debugging.
• Comfortable with using lab tools (debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, )
• Experience on communication interfaces as I2C, SPI, CAN
• Strong experience in Boot loaders, Cyber Security for automotive applications
• Knowledge of functional Safety and Automotive Software Development process
• Good knowledge of GitHub, JIRA and Agile/SAFe methodologies
• Hands on experience of any Static analysis tools like Coverity, Polyspace
• Hands on experience of any unit testing framework like VectorCast,
• Experience with Embedded Real time operating systems RTOS.
• Hands on experience with CANalyzer/ CANoe or other equivalent CAN/LIN analysis tools.
• Hands on experience with Requirements management tools like DOORS,
• Familiarity with UML and Software architecture and design tools like Rhapsody or Enterprise architect will be added advantage.
• Strong stakeholder orientation, willingness to meet deadlines, and self-management skills.
• Mentoring skills for new team members
