Job Title: Accounting Assistant/ Accounting Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Lead / Assistant to lead and oversee critical accounting functions. The Accounting Manager/ Assistant will be responsible for ensuring accurate General Ledger (GL) reconciliations, preparing comprehensive financial and management reports, and creating/updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role also includes managing and supervising the accounting team to ensure adherence to high performance and quality standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performing various administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, preparing reports, and assisting with other accounting duties as needed.
• General Ledger Management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop, document, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
• Entering financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets and ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
• Reconciling bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the company and its clients.
• Completing assignments timely and accurately.
• Processing invoices and receipts, managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Generating and analyzing financial reports and statements.
• Ability and desire to work independently and remotely while being a supportive team member.
• Maintaining excellent communication and collaborating with clients and other team members.
• Completing ad hoc tasks, projects and other duties as requested.
• Following company controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Inter CA, CA, or CMA preferred).
• Experience:
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record of managing General Ledger reconciliations, financial reporting and SOP creation / management.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Sage or other ERP Systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Leadership: Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
