We are looking for a Diagnostics Liaison Manager for a Global Pharmaceutical MNC based in Mumbai.
The Medical Affairs Diagnostic Liaison Manager will leverage their expertise in medical diagnostics and clinical testing to make a significant impact within a global pharmaceutical company. The role is crucial in supporting the understanding of the diagnostic landscape, gathering insights, informing development strategy, and assisting in data generation to support Life Cycle Management (LCM) and patient access. This is a newly developed, field-based position reporting to the Diagnostics Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture needs-based relationships with key stakeholders, including Pathologists, Molecular Pathologists, Molecular Diagnostics Kit Suppliers, Scientific Experts, Laboratory Decision Makers, Health Care Professionals (HCPs), and scientific organizations.
- Identify barriers to diagnostic testing within Diagnostic Testing Labs, Diagnostics Kit companies, lab networks, and HCPs. Execute local tactical plans to educate on appropriate testing solutions.
- Support the development of robust testing facilities in strategic centers by providing protocol support, identifying and removing bottlenecks, and monitoring the number and performance of tests.
- Generate demand for testing through education, awareness, and advocacy.
- Deliver approved educational content on disease, pathology, and diagnostics to both internal and external stakeholders. Present highly technical and medical data to Pathologists, HCPs, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to externally sponsored research where appropriate.
- Provide insights to the core medical team to aid in developing India-specific plans and inform local strategies.
- Utilize Key Account Management skills to engage with relevant stakeholders effectively.
- Adhere to the organization's Code of Conduct, Policy Handbook, Standards, and SOPs, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and ethical requirements for the role.

- Brand Teams, in coordination with the Diagnostic Lead

- Health Care Professionals, including Oncologists and Pathologists
- Diagnostic Partners, such as Labs and Kit Manufacturers
- Advocacy and Professional Associations, including National and Regional Societies
Oncology Diagnostics Managers
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Life Sciences/Medical Biotechnology, or Ph.D. (preferred)
- Over 5 years of experience in the molecular diagnostic market and clinical testing, with a preference for oncology experience (lung cancer, women's cancer, immunotherapy)
- Expertise in presenting scientific content to diverse audiences
- Strong understanding of diagnostic verification and validation processes, ensuring robust study protocols
- Ability to travel (>50%; varies by geography)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, demonstrating resourcefulness and persistence in solving problems
- Thorough knowledge of diagnostic test development, regulatory environments, and the oncology landscape (experience with clinical trials is preferred)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams effectively
- Strong focus on execution and delivering results
