Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive in Finance & Accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting functions, handling statutory compliances, preparing management reports, and supporting finance-related activities across various projects. The role requires a professional with strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational financial objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


General Ledger & Accounts Management:

    • Maintain and update the general ledger.
    • Verify and process purchase bills, contractor invoices, and administrative bills.
    • Ensure accurate recording of all transactions in the accounting system.
    • Reconcile creditor and debtor ledgers regularly.

Statutory Compliance & Reporting:

    • Prepare and submit statutory returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, TDS, and other tax filings.
    • Maintain and update GST, TDS, and other tax reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual RERA certificates and coordinate with auditors to obtain necessary forms (Form-4 and Form-7).

Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports (MIS) and provide key insights to management.
    • Prepare and maintain monthly customer collection reports.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank statements and provide updates on inflows and outflows.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

    • Process invoices for accounts payable and receivable.
    • Ensure timely processing of RA bills, purchase bills, and other invoices, and manage related payments (RTGS, NEFT, Cheques, etc.).
    • Handle queries related to vendor payments and client collections.
    • Follow up with creditors, vendors, and clients for outstanding payments.

Audit & Internal Controls:

    • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
    • Verify and ensure accurate processing of debit notes, credit notes, and adjustments.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of payment lists for creditors and contractors.

Bank Coordination & Loan Processing:

    • Coordinate with banks for loan processing and financial transactions.
    • Prepare necessary documentation for loan processing and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Tally.9, SAP (AP Module), In4suite, and Quadra Neon.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Experience in handling accounting and financial operations in construction or real estate industries is a plus.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills:
    • Ability to prepare and present detailed financial reports to management.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory requirements.
    • Experience with preparing tax reports (GST, TDS) and statutory forms (RERA, GSTR).
  • Communication & Teamwork:
    • Strong communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with different departments to meet organizational goals.
  • Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
    • Proactive in identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PGDM in Finance, BCom in Computer Applications, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably in a construction, real estate, or similar industry.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in taxation, GST, or accounting software are advantageous.
