Centum Electronics Ltd., a leading Indian multinational in Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM), is seeking an experienced Manager - Hardware Design to join its Strategic Electronics Business Unit. Centum specializes in mission-critical design, development, and manufacturing of customized solutions for high-reliability applications across domains such as Defense, Aerospace, Space, Industrial, Medical, and Transportation.

This role involves leading hardware design and development activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of cutting-edge solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design high-speed digital architecture involving microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGA-based systems with 1553 interfaces.

- Develop system designs using Xilinx, Altera, and Actel FPGA devices, leveraging relevant tools and IPs.

- Perform board-level testing and system debugging.

- Design mixed-signal architectures involving DACs, ADCs, FPGAs, buffers, transceivers, LDOs, POLs, and 1553 chips.

- Apply knowledge of protocols like USB, GBE, PCIe, RS232, and more.

- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Electrical Interface Documents (EIDs).

- Conduct derating analysis, FMECA, FMEA, and worst-case analysis to ensure system reliability.

- Guide layout engineers and ensure successful card bring-up and validation.

- Use testing equipment for system validation and debugging.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective new product developments.

- Analyze and validate material/component selection, tolerances, performance, and manufacturability.

- Drive cost-effective system development.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

- Experience : 13+ years in hardware design and development.

- Strong expertise in high-speed digital and mixed-signal design.

- Hands-on experience with FPGA devices, microcontrollers, and microprocessors.

- Familiarity with protocols such as USB, GBE, PCIe, and RS232.

- Proficiency in derating analysis, FMECA, FMEA, and worst-case analysis.

- Experience with layout guidance and card bring-up.

- Knowledge of cost-effective system development.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers on technical matters.

- Team Management : Experience leading and mentoring hardware design teams.

Educational Background :

Qualification : BE/MTech in Electronics or related fields
