Job Role Brief & Description

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the items they are looking for.
• Answer customer inquiries about books, promotions, and store policies.
• Provide a positive and friendly shopping experience for customers.
• customer purchases accurately at accounted in POS.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods.
• Ensure that transactions are processed efficiently and with a high level of accuracy.
• Responsible for handling cash, making changes, and ensuring the cash registers should tally.

• Follow proper cash handling procedures to prevent errors and discrepancies.
• Stay informed about the books and products available in the store.
• Assist customers in locating specific books or making recommendations based on
• their preferences.
• Inform customers about ongoing promotions & discounts running in the store.
• Process of returns and exchanges according to store policies.
• Handle any customer concerns or issues related to transactions with professionalism and courtesy.
• Keep the checkout area clean & organized.
• Be vigilant for potential theft or fraudulent activities at check out and billing counters.
• Follow store security procedures and report any suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and replenish receipt paper, bags, and other consumables.
• Complete end-of-day closing procedures, including reconciling the cash register and preparing the cash drawer for the next shift.
• Secure the cash and follow store protocols for closing.
