Job Description :
Working under the supervision of the CIO, the IT Director will be responsible for the company's infrastructure and software development including networks, server infrastructure, end-user computing, product development, and cyber security. The role will be responsible for multiple locations in the US and New Zealand. The role will be required to take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the department's goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner. Help the CIO with analysis of new and existing products and services.
Responsibilities :
- Managing Day-to-day operations of the IT Department.
- Manage the Helpdesk, infrastructure, and development teams.
- Managing work assignments
- Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Leading disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by planning, and implementing security measures.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and system problems.
- Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
- Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
- Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
- Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
- Coordinating computer network access and use.
- Evaluating, Designing, configuring, and testing software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
- Purchasing software and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the CIO
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred candidate with a bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology or a related field of study.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, hardware, and software.
- Network security experience.
- LAN and WAN experience.
- Product development experience
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft O365 cloud environments and security.
- Waterfall and agile methodologies
- Change management experience
- Experience managing technology vendors, including ensuring accountability to service levels.
- Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English oral and written skills.
- Can write proposals and specifications for projects.
- Able to do purchasing and budgeting
- Dependable and flexible when necessary.
- Some travel is estimated at approximately 10% within the US.
