Summary : The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer - Customer Engineering & New Features is a vital and active member of the engineering team, responsible for designing products and machines according to customer orders. He/She must conduct a thorough analysis of historical orders before taking on custom engineering tasks

Main tasks & key responsibilities :

• Leading cost reduction initiatives and integrating new features into cable reels.
• Designing equipment and machinery based on customer orders and specifications.
• Updating existing designs, components, and subsystems to enhance manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Creating and modifying 3D models, assemblies, and detailed production drawings, including drawing conversions and BOMs.
• Ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality (first-time-right) engineering deliverables.
• Performing machine design calculations, conducting FEA, and creating/updating matrices.
• Collaborating with departments such as GPS, Sales, Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality.

• Strong hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks is essential.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing drawings and production processes.
• Excellent skills in mechanical design calculations.
