Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer (AI Build & Support Team - Python Developer) to join Applications Development and Support -CAT IT Team.

As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems using Python. Your typical day will involve applying your knowledge of technologies, methodologies, and processes to support a client or project in Bengaluru.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, Whitefield office & Chennai - Brigade World Trade Center

What you will do

• Lead the development and configuration of software systems using Python, applying your knowledge of technologies, methodologies, and processes to support a client or project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet client or project requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of software systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in software development, integrating innovative approaches for sustained competitive advantage.

What you will have

• Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Python.
• 5-6years of relevant experience with Python with an overall 10 years of Experience.
• A full time bachelors degree is must.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with Django, Flask, or other Python web frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Solid grasp of software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful software solutions.

Has participated in development of multiple or large software products.
Contrasts advantages and drawbacks of different development languages and tools.
Estimates and monitors development costs based on functional and technical requirements.
Provides consulting on both selection and utilization of developers workbench tools.
