Senior Buyer Services and Indirect Purchase

Major Accountabilities:

Supplier Identification and Qualification: Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for capital equipment, machinery, and services based on technical capabilities, financial stability, and performance history.

Supplier Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost expectations.

Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts related to the purchase of capital equipment and services, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with organizational goals.

Purchase Order Management: Manage the creation, approval, and tracking of purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Analysis: Evaluate the total cost of ownership for capital equipment and services, including initial purchase price, maintenance, operating costs, and potential end-of-life disposal costs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with project goals and timelines.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and changes in the supply base that could impact the procurement of capital equipment and services.

Vendor Audits: Conduct periodic audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and ethical practices

Education/Qualifications (Min): Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Essential experience and skills:

Preferred experience of 10+ years in the Agricultural, Off-highway, Automotive, or Industrial industries.

Proficient in Contracting, Negotiation, and Cost Reduction for Capex and Services.

Strong understanding of Purchasing processes and systems.

Familiarity with Zero-Based Costing methodologies.

Excellent Negotiation Skills.
