Perform component/system model test to support development of Next Generation simulation toolchain. Design and develop physics-based thermo-fluid models of HVAC components. Integrate and compose component models into HVAC equipment system models. Perform model testing, calibration and validation based on experimental data. Work with Carrier engineering design centers globally on challenging modeling problems and promote the application of modeling and simulation techniques to support design decisions. Align with global team to define Agile user story/feature for local modeling group. Serve as scrum master to host standup meeting to ensue iteration deliverables on track.. Explore the modelling methodology using the Modelica based libraries. Develop the ability to create new libraries by using the basic developing blocks of the Modelica library. Build component System models based on the requirements. Re-solve the errors occurring in modeling. Validate the developed models. Maintain proper documentation for the models developed. Experience / Qualifications. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience of physical modeling and 1 year of Agile scrum master experience.. Good proficiency of one or more programming languages from Modelica, C#, VB6, MATLAB, Python, Java, C/C++ and Fortran. Experience of Agile development process. The experience of scrum master is desirable.. Experience of writing/solving equation-based model in one or more integrated solver toolchains, such as Matlab, Dymola, etc.. Knowledge of software programming techniques, including object-oriented methodologies, version control management. Strong technical writing abilities to provide high quality documentation and standard work. Education / Certifications. Candidates must possess a MS or PhD in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Physics. In Addition, The Ideal Candidate Should. Possess knowledge of numerical methods and solvers, optimization and robust design techniques. Follow Agile development process during daily work. Use methods for model convergence (scaling, smoothing), model diagnostics, debugging, initialization, identification of limits of performance.
