Senior Python Developer - Backend Systems (7-10 yrs)

Location : Bangalore, India

Experience Required : 7 + years

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs using Python (with frameworks like FastAPI/Rest).

- Develop and optimize data pipelines using PySpark for large-scale data processing on Big Data platforms (e.g, Databricks).

- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend features.

- Manage and mentor junior developers, guiding their technical growth and development.

- Define and implement software architectures for medium to large-scale codebases.

- Work independently and effectively with Product Owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and Dockerization.

Qualifications :

Must-Have :

- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.

- Strong expertise in PySpark and Big Data processing with large datasets.

- Experience with backend frameworks like FastAPI/Rest.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and Docker.

- Proven experience leading and mentoring junior developers.

- Strong understanding of Databricks architecture and developing applications on top of it.

- Intermediate experience with frontend technologies (React, Angular, Vue, CSS, HTML).

Nice-to-Have :

- Experience with Svelte.

- Experience with full-stack web application development.

- Experience with cross-compilation and using bindings for different platforms/environments.

- Experience with C/C++ or other system programming languages and a strong interest in learning Rust
