Product Manager Backend Services & Integrations.

Role Overview:

As the Backend Services and Integration Product Manager, you will own the technical

backbone of Urban IQs platform. You’ll drive the development of scalable, reliable backend

services and integrations, ensuring our platform can seamlessly integrate with IoT devices

and external systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and define platform capabilities, focusing on backend scalability, APIs, and

data pipelines.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement backend solutions that integrate

AI and IoT technologies.

• Lead feasibility testing for backend services, ensuring performance and scalability

meet customer requirements.

• Develop product specifications and user stories for backend services, using tools

like Jira for quick, iterative cycles.

• Engage with customers to understand technical integration needs, working with

cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments.

• Partner with sales and marketing teams to build technical collateral for market-

facing initiatives, showcasing the platform’s backend strengths.

• Drive collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment on technical

capabilities, customer needs, and market opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of product management experience, with a focus on backend technologies

and integrations.

• Hands-on experience working with scrum teams, driving technical projects from

conception to delivery.

• Strong expertise in cloud platform, data architecture, API development, and

integrations.

• Good understanding of AI concepts and how to use agentic frameworks in solving

complex business and operational problems

• Proven ability to lead technical feasibility testing and develop product specifications in agile environments.
• Experience collaborating with sales, marketing, and engineering to build

comprehensive product strategies.

• Excellent technical understanding, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities.
• Engineering Degree (BS and/or Masters) and prior technical experience preferred
• MBA would be a big plus in this role.
