Design Engineer- Solidedge & Solidworks

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conceptual Design :

   • Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, product managers, etc.) to understand customer needs and translate them into design specifications.
   • Develop initial design concepts, sketches, and prototypes to visually represent ideas and solutions.

2. Detailed Design and Drafting :

   • Create detailed 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and blueprints using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
   • Define materials, dimensions, and tolerances for products.
   • Perform calculations to ensure that designs meet structural and functional requirements.

3. Prototyping and Testing :

   • Develop prototypes of designs to validate their functionality, performance, and feasibility.
   • Collaborate with testing teams to conduct trials, identify potential issues, and gather data to refine designs.
   • Modify designs based on feedback from testing and development teams to improve performance, reliability, or cost-efficiency.

4. Collaboration and Communication :

   • Work closely with other engineering departments (mechanical, electrical, software) to ensure that designs are compatible with manufacturing and assembly processes.
   • Communicate design progress, challenges, and technical requirements to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
   • Participate in design reviews and provide suggestions for improvements or optimizations.
