Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervise electrical maintenance activities , ensuring all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery are in good working order.
- Lead and manage a team of electrical maintenance technicians, providing training, support, and guidance as needed.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment and systems to detect and troubleshoot issues such as electrical faults, power failures, or machinery malfunctions.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment, ensuring that inspections and maintenance activities are conducted on time.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, National Electrical Code).
- Diagnose and repair electrical problems in machinery, control systems, and electrical panels.
- Oversee installations of new electrical systems and equipment, ensuring that they meet performance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs, documenting repairs, inspections, and preventive measures taken.
- Collaborate with other departments , such as production, engineering, and management, to schedule maintenance and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage the inventory of electrical parts and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as necessary.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical maintenance techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance or a similar role, typically 5+ years in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Leadership skills and experience managing teams of technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of PLC systems , motors, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and documentation tools.
- Ability to train and mentor team members on electrical maintenance procedures.
- Project management skills to oversee electrical installations or upgrades.
