Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment, through regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures quickly and effectively, minimizing production disruptions.
Oversee equipment installations and upgrades, ensuring all installations are performed according to specifications and meet operational requirements.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, potential failures, and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety standards , OSHA regulations, and company policies, promoting a safe work environment for the maintenance team.
Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on production schedules and output.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and part replacements.
Manage the inventory of mechanical parts and supplies , ensuring critical spare parts are available and properly stored.
Train and mentor junior maintenance staff , providing guidance on best practices, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ensure proper documentation of mechanical systems, manuals, and maintenance procedures for the team.
Assist in budgeting for maintenance expenses, including forecasting the cost of parts, tools, and labor.
Collaborate with engineers and other departments to resolve complex mechanical issues and improve equipment efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems , industrial equipment, and machinery (e.g., pumps, compressors, gearboxes).
Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques , vibration analysis, and other diagnostic tools for assessing equipment performance.
Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
Experience with preventive maintenance and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals .
