Docs Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical documentation for engineering projects, such as user manuals, system specifications, and product documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather information and ensure that all product details are accurately documented.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies for documentation.
• Review and update documentation for new product releases or feature updates.
• Organize and structure documentation for easy access and clarity, using document management tools.
• Work closely with technical writers and engineers to ensure that documentation is clear, concise, and targeted for the appropriate audience.
• Translate complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly language.
• Manage document revisions and maintain version control to track changes in documents.
• Provide support in the development of help guides, tutorials, and other related content for internal and external users.
• Train other team members or departments on document management processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in technical writing or documentation engineering in a product or software development environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts and technical terminology.
• Familiarity with document management software and content management systems (CMS) .
• Proficiency in technical writing tools (e.g., Markdown, LaTeX, Adobe FrameMaker).
• Experience working with engineering teams to create, update, and manage documentation.

• Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
