Application Security Manager - SOC OPS

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Manager to oversee our application security initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing security tools such as EDR, MDR, proxies, and SIEM, alongside proven experience in InfoSec and cybersecurity standards. This role involves project management for proof of concept (POC) initiatives and dashboarding to provide insights into security metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Application Security Management:

- Lead the implementation and management of application security programs.

- Assess and enhance the security posture of applications through regular assessments and vulnerability scans.

Tool Management:

- Oversee the deployment and integration of security tools including EDR, MDR, proxies, and SIEM.

- Evaluate new security tools and technologies, conducting POCs to determine their effectiveness.

Project Management:

- Manage POC projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement security solutions effectively.

Dashboarding & Reporting:

- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor application security metrics and trends.

- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on application security posture and incidents.

Compliance & Standards:

- Ensure compliance with relevant InfoSec and cybersecurity standards.

- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to maintain compliance.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.

- Provide training and guidance on application security best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of experience in application security or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

- Proficiency in security tools such as EDR, MDR, proxies, and SIEM.

- Experience in project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

- Experience with DevSecOps practices.

- Familiarity with cloud security and application security testing tools.
