Profile : Manager - IT Infrastructure
Job Description :
- The Manager - IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's information technology infrastructure, ensuring its stability, reliability, and security
- This role involves leading a team of IT professionals and collaborating with other departments to ensure the effective operation of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure components
- Key Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure to meet current and future business needs
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance the IT infrastructure and optimize operations
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align IT infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals
- Infrastructure Management:Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and data centers
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access or breaches
- Team Leadership and Development:Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing
- Provide guidance and support to the team in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and implementing solutions
- Vendor Management:Evaluate and select external vendors and service providers for IT infrastructure projects or ongoing support
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms with vendors
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreed-upon service levels and contractual obligations
- Incident and Problem Management:Respond to and resolve escalated infrastructure-related incidents and problems in a timely manner
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents
- Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles
- IT Governance and Compliance:Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT infrastructure
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement appropriate controls
- Budgeting and Cost Management:Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, including forecasting and cost optimization initiatives
- Monitor expenditures, track financial performance, and report on budget variances
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and recommend strategies to optimize IT infrastructure investments
- Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization
