Job Role : Hardware Architect
Job description :
Role is responsible for defining the overall hardware architecture to convert the business enquiry into a potential business win for the highly cost sensitive 2W cluster products.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Study market trends and explore appealing features for the competitive 2W Cluster market
- Strategies and define the hardware architecture road map for 2W cluster products.
- Bring-in innovation in design approach to achieve tight cost and quality targets
- Be a technology enabler while working closely with Sales team and Customer to convert business enquiries to business wins
- Review and approve the design at each quality check gate during hardware development and ensures the product is being built with intended cost and quality.
- Work closely with engineering team to ensue resolution of inter-competency issue in benefit of program time line and compliance to requirements and quality.
- Drives continuous skill upgrade among hardware engineers by visualizing the upcoming technical challenges
- Manage escalated risks and issues, having an impact on hardware development project timing, cost and quality by getting involved in technical discussions with customer as required.
- Ensures necessary stakeholders involvement in successful delivery of hardware projects.
- Guide Reviews hardware quote response to PD Quote Leader
- Interact with teams in different regions and achieve consensus to ensure productive outcome.
Desired Competencies :
- Deep knowledge of embedded electronics product architectures and scalable systems design approach
- Well versed on design practices to achieve demanding cost and reliability targets
- Well informed on Mobility, Connectivity, Display, Driver Information trends
- Shall have 2W Electrification products knowledge/experience
- Shall have good appreciation on the requirements and their impact on product's cost and quality
- Shall have understanding on EMC requirements and how to build a reliable product for automotive domain
- Shall have appreciation for DFM, DFT, DFMEA, Built-in-quality
- Should be able to guide the team for delivering successful product development with optimized resource utilization.
- Should be good at Change Management, Strategic Planning, Business Acumen, Decision Making, Influencing others, Good listening skills and Cross cultural communications and presentation
