Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented research analyst with 2+ years of experience in clinical research, a passion for quality, and a keen eye for accuracy to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be the gatekeeper of quality for our literature reviews, ensuring the reliability, transparency, and integrity of our evidence synthesis processes. Your expertise in quality assurance methodologies and your understanding of clinical research will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of scientific rigor. You will collaborate closely with medical writers, subject matter experts, and project leads to implement robust QA procedures and ensure adherence to all relevant guidelines and regulations. - Develop and implement a comprehensive QA plan for the literature review process. This includes defining quality standards, review procedures, documentation requirements, and timelines.
- Collaborate with the project team to establish clear roles and responsibilities related to data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant SOPs, PRISMA guidelines, and regulatory requirements throughout the literature review process.
- Review search strategies and inclusion/exclusion criteria for comprehensiveness, relevance, and potential bias.
- Independently verify the accuracy of data extracted from identified studies, including study design, population characteristics, interventions, outcomes, and reported findings.
- Assess the quality of included studies using standardized Risk of Bias tools and document the assessment rationale.
- Review data analysis methods for appropriateness and accuracy. This may include checking calculations, statistical analyses, and the presentation of results.
- Review all literature review deliverables for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and completeness. This includes protocols, search strategies, data extraction forms, analysis results, and the final manuscript/report.
- Ensure proper documentation of all QA activities, including deviations, issues identified, and resolutions taken.
- Manage and track document versions and review cycles, ensuring timely circulation and feedback incorporation.
- Communicate effectively with the project team, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Facilitate resolution of discrepancies and conflicting interpretations identified during the QA process.
- Escalate critical issues and potential risks to the project lead in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement based on QA findings and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal SOPs and guidelines related to literature reviews.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements, guidelines, and best practices in the field of literature review and evidence synthesis
