Role & responsibilities
Set up and operate PVC injection molding machines according to standard operating procedures.
Monitor machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) and adjust settings as needed for optimal production quality.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
Perform regular testing and inspection of products using measuring tools and visual inspections.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure operational efficiency.
Diagnose and address minor mechanical issues to prevent downtime.
Collaborate with maintenance technicians for major repairs and troubleshooting.
Production Reporting:
Record production data, including quantities, material usage, and any issues encountered during shifts.
Prepare and submit daily production reports to supervisors.
Material Handling:
Load raw PVC materials into machines and monitor material levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent contamination or waste.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
Stay informed on industry regulations and company policies to ensure compliance.
Participate in safety drills and contribute to a safe working environment.
Process Improvement:
Suggest improvements to enhance machine efficiency and reduce production costs.
Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in machine operation or related field preferred.
Previous experience operating injection molding machines, specifically with PVC, is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Basic understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials up to 50 pounds.
