Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to join our dynamic sales team and technical team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the sales process, engaging with potential customers, and providing expert knowledge of D365 Business Central to demonstrate its value and capabilities.
This role requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to tailor D365 solutions to meet specific business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Presentation & Demonstration:
- Lead product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Tailor demonstrations to match client requirements, emphasizing how D365 Business Central can streamline operations, improve productivity, and drive business growth.
Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
- Work closely with sales, customers, and stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements.
- Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to understand the client's business processes and challenges, aligning D365 Business Central features with their needs.
Proposals & RFP Responses:
- Assist in preparing responses to RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, providing insight into the technical benefits of D365 Business Central.
- Help create customized solutions, pricing models, and proposals that align with customer business objectives.
Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge:
- Provide deep product knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Retail modules.
- Stay updated on product developments, new features, and capabilities within the D365 ecosystem.
Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for driving new business, upselling, and cross-selling D365 Business Central.
- Assist the sales team in qualifying leads, offering insights into potential technical solutions, and demonstrating how D365 can address specific pain points.
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Lead the design and architecture of D365 Business Central solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and IT strategies.
- Define technical architecture, integrations, and the overall solution approach for D365 Business Central.
- Provide high-level guidance and best practices on implementing D365 BC modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations).
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with business leaders, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and design effective solutions.
- Translate business requirements into detailed system requirements and technical specifications.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver architectural solutions that meet business objectives.
Implementation & Integration:
- Oversee the configuration and deployment of D365 Business Central solutions.
- Lead integrations with third-party systems (CRM, eCommerce platforms, etc.), ensuring seamless data flow and business process continuity.
- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of the solution across various environments.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in D365 BC customization and development.
- Lead the creation of architectural documentation, including design specifications, technical diagrams, and process flows.
- Stay current with D365 BC updates, new features, and the broader Dynamics ecosystem.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
- Oversee the testing process, ensuring that solutions are thoroughly tested and meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the implementation phase.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate the business architecture and processes, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
- Provide recommendations on platform upgrades, patches, and future roadmap planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Pre Sales for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Proven experience in solution architecture or similar roles, with a focus on D365 BC.
- Hands-on experience in the implementation, integration, and customization of D365 BC, including modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales.
- Strong understanding of business processes, ERP functionalities, and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of D365 Business Central, including AL programming, extensions, and Power Platform integration.
- Experience with Azure Services, Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse integration.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, API integrations, and system security principles.
- Familiarity with Cloud-based architectures and best practices for hosting solutions.
- Experience with SQL Server, Web Services, and RESTful APIs.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, team collaboration, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant or Solution Architect certification.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) is a plus.
- Project Management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
