Wintel Cloud Security Engineer (5-7 yrs)

Job Position : Wintel Cloud Security Engineer.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage security controls for Windows Server environments in cloud platforms (Azure).

- Harden Windows Server operating systems and applications according to security best practices and industry standards (CIS benchmarks).

- Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), anti-malware, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

- Automate security tasks and processes using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).

- Monitor security logs and events to identify and respond to security incidents.

- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.

- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and standards.

- Collaborate with other teams (networking, systems administration) to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the cloud environment.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.

- Participate in security incident response and investigations.

- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and frameworks ( ISO 27001, NIST).

- Provide security guidance and support to other teams.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and security.

- Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and best practices.

- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure) and its security services.

- Deep understanding of Windows Server security features, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and NTFS permissions.

- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
