Engineering Manager - Mobile Apps

Calix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Apps Development Manager to lead our dynamic team of 10 developers specializing in both Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on expertise, and proven experience in managing a team of developers in a fast-paced, agile environment. This role requires a deep understanding of hybrid mobile app development frameworks and the ability to oversee the entire development lifecycle from inception to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 10 mobile app developers (Android and iOS) to deliver high-quality mobile applications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and design.
• Oversee the entire development process, including planning, execution, and delivery of mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
• Implement and maintain agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team is using the most current and effective tools and practices.
• Manage the deployment process, ensuring smooth and timely releases of mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during development and deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing a team of mobile app developers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong hands-on technical expertise in both Android and iOS development.
• Experience with hybrid mobile app development frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud services and backend integration.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
