Position Treasury

Summary:

This role plays a key role across the organisation and in strategic transactions, leading a strong

treasury team. The role manages Group reporting and treasury and is responsible for corporate

liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company's financial activities.

Supporting a growth agenda, the role has responsibility for funding decisions across all strategic

business development transactions, as well as board reporting and relationship development

responsibilities for investments in key assets. Critical to the success of this role is developing

strategies to foster relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Outputs:-

Treasury

• Leads and supports the Treasury function to ensure maximum returns to the Groups cash

position, specifically:

• Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment
• Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment

requirements

• Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's

borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions

• Maintain banking relationships
• Maintain credit rating agency relationships
• Arrange for equity financing and debt financing
• Invest funds
• Invest pension funds
• Monitor the activities of third parties handling outsourced treasury functions on behalf of the

company

• Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning
• Oversee the extension of credit to customers
• Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over

treasury activities .

Team Management and Development

• An intense focus on team management, providing effective processes for the setting of

performance targets, monitoring performance and providing feedback to individuals

• Provides career development support, coaching and training; the aim being to maintain a highly

motivated and committed workforce.

• Develop clear team progression / succession plan.

Reporting : -

• Manages ad hoc projects and reports required by CFO, Executive Management and Heads of

Departments.

Job Requirements:-

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience

Qualifications

• Must be fully qualified accountants (ACMA or CPA) with over 10 years experience in a Finance senior management role in an airline or international business. Prior CA experience is a must.

Experience Required :

• Recognised expertise in corporate treasury, corporate finance planning, modelling, valuations and financial control function
• A proven executive with a track record of leading finance, you are adept at engaging and managing sophisticated stakeholders. Respected for your judgment and strategic counsel, you have driven and a validating style, create insights, and possess exceptional influencing skills.
• Team player with strong management skills and experience in leading people in a finance environment
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, be challenging and resilient, whilst maintaining independence and objectivity
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive can do attitude
• Good organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to work on own initiative with energy, drive and commitment to deliver high quality results to tight timescales
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Drives customer service and continuous improvement.

Candidates from Aviation industry will be preferred.
