Azure DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of CI/CD processes into the software development lifecycle

• Develop and manage deployment pipelines for various applications, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment workflows

• Establish and enforce rules and controls within Azure DevOps to maintain security, compliance, and governance standards

• Implement access controls, security policies, and monitoring mechanisms

• Architect existing applications for seamless integration into the Azure cloud platform

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for Azure, considering scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness

• Lead the migration efforts for multiple applications developed by the offshore team into Azure

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the migration process

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment processes, architecture, and configurations

• Provide training and support to team members on Azure DevOps best practices

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or similar role

• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies

• Expertise in setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps

• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including but not limited to Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc

• Ability to architect and optimize applications for deployment in the Azure cloud environment

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Azure DevOps Certification

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
