Key Functions of the Product Team:

• Conduct research and design new products or enhance existing ones.
  
• Monitor and review product performance for profitability.
  
• Collaborate with sales channels to drive product sales.
  
• Act as a knowledge center for all departments to support product development and launch.

Management Trainee Responsibilities:

Learning Focus:

• IRDAI product regulations and filing/approval processes.
  
• Technical knowledge for designing life insurance products.

Ideation & Conceptualization:

• Generate and convert new product ideas into concepts.
  
• Filter and prioritize product ideas.
  
• Conduct concept evaluation and competition analysis.
  
• Collaborate with actuaries for initial pricing.
  
• Validate and test product concepts.

IRDAI Filing:

• Prepare documentation for IRDAI filings.
  
• Obtain approvals from the Product Management Committee.
  
• Handle IRDAI queries and resolve filing issues.

Implementation & Launch:

• Conduct product walkthroughs with tech teams and other functions.
  
• Ensure readiness of product collaterals.
  
• Develop training materials and train-the-trainer programs.
  
• Provide channel walkthroughs for sales teams.

Post-Launch Review:

• Monitor key business outcomes.
  
• Analyze product performance metrics (e.g., feature uptake, option mix, target vs. actual performance).
