Roles and Responsibilities for Bus Helper

1. Assist Passengers: Help students, staff, and other passengers board and de-board the bus safely, especially those requiring assistance.
2. Safety Checks: Ensure all passengers are seated before the bus starts moving and assist in ensuring seat belts (if applicable) are used properly.
3. Loading and Unloading: Help with loading and unloading luggage or belongings, ensuring they are safely secured.
4. Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the bus is kept clean and tidy by managing waste disposal and light cleaning as needed.
5. Emergency Assistance: Support the driver and passengers during emergencies by managing evacuation procedures or providing first aid if trained.
6. Compliance with Rules: Ensure adherence to safety and behavioral rules by passengers during transit.
7. Coordination with Driver: Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding passenger concerns, stops, or any incidents.
8. Attendance Record: Maintain a checklist to ensure all passengers are accounted for at each stop.
9. Basic Maintenance Checks: Assist the driver in inspecting the vehicle for basic issues like flat tires, fuel levels, or cleanliness before and after trips.
10. Professional Behavior: Exhibit courteous and respectful behavior towards passengers and colleagues at all times.
