Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts and Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company?s accounting and tax compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and tax regulations, as well as experience working with financial software and tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA qualification or equivalent certification preferred
Proven experience in accounting and tax compliance roles, preferably in a corporate environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations (specific to your region or country)

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and employee expenses
Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other regulatory filings
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable tax requirements
Conduct internal audits and reviews to identify and address areas of potential risk or non-compliance
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to support annual audits and tax planning activities
Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
