Business Development Specialist - Large Corporates

Role & responsibilities

1) Customer Relationship Management

- Meet, engage and develop the client base on regular basis to increase market penetration

- Interact with customers to ensure high conversion of renewals

2) Broker Relationship Management

- Meet on regular basis to understand their client base and accounts list for the coming months to add more accounts

- Follow up with internal teams to ensure their brokerages etc. are released on time

3) Bank & Insurers Relationship Management

- Conduct regular visits to update and seek support for business pending or falling due

- Review and update on business done through their clients to date to identify gaps and take corrective action jointly

4) Business/Process Review

- Monitor the business booked, track growth and take necessary steps with various departments to take corrective action. e.g. timely issuance of quotes by underwriting team and facilitating speedy settlement by claims team

Conduct structured meetings with underwriting, operations and claims teams to review, facilitate and address issues affecting the business

5) Regulatory & Statutory Adherence

- Create and review monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders to ensure information sharing needed for compliance purposes

Assess and consider all kinds of risk to make informed decisions

Core experience

• 9-10 years of industry experience with at least 5-6 years experience in handling high value clients
• Excellent soft skills combined with flair for presentation

Education Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification required is Graduation. Additional general insurance qualifications (AIII) is preferable.
