Detailed Job Description and Requirement
Position Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: Bangalore
Experience Level: 1-2 years in an SDR or lead generation role
Department: Sales
Reports to: CRO/Sales Manager/Lead SDR

Position Summary
The Junior SDR will play a critical role in building our lead and revenue pipeline for new business opportunities across staffing and digital marketing solutions. This role will focus on identifying, prospecting, and qualifying potential clients within our target markets (USA, Europe, and Australia). The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of sales fundamentals, is proactive in outbound outreach, and is motivated by meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation
    • Conduct targeted research to identify potential leads within defined market segments for both staffing solutions and digital marketing services.
    • Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, and industry databases to build accurate lead lists and track interactions.
    • Develop outreach lists tailored to specific markets and segments in the USA, Europe, and Australia.

  1. Outreach and Engagement
    • Execute outbound email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging, and calls to engage prospects effectively and professionally.
    • Customize outreach scripts to align with prospect profiles, interests, and pain points, ensuring relevance and a high conversion rate.
    • Schedule meetings or demo calls for qualified prospects with senior sales representatives.

  1. Qualification of Leads
    • Conduct initial discovery calls with potential clients to understand their needs and assess their fit for staffing or digital marketing services.
    • Qualify leads by identifying key decision-makers, understanding business challenges, and documenting relevant information in the CRM.
    • Nurture leads through effective follow-up, engaging them consistently and moving them through the sales funnel.

  1. Collaboration and Strategy
    • Work closely with senior SDRs, account executives, and the marketing team to align lead generation strategies and messaging.
    • Share insights on lead quality, common objections, and areas of opportunity with the sales and marketing teams to optimize outreach efforts.
    • Participate in team strategy sessions to brainstorm ways to optimize engagement and conversion rates in target markets.

  1. Pipeline Management and Reporting
    • Accurately log all activities, contact details, and conversations in the CRM.
    • Regularly update the pipeline, ensuring transparency in lead status and anticipated conversion timelines.
    • Prepare weekly reports on outreach, leads generated, and progression through the sales funnel.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Lead Generation: Monthly target for qualified leads added to the pipeline.
  • Conversion Rate: Ratio of leads qualified to meetings scheduled.
  • Engagement Rate: Open and response rates for email campaigns and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Pipeline Movement: Number of leads progressing from initial outreach to qualification and beyond.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. MBA in marketing/sales management is preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a Sales Development, Business Development, or similar role.
  • Sales Skills: Strong understanding of sales processes, qualification criteria, and outreach techniques for lead generation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and convey value quickly.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the staffing industry and/or digital marketing industry is a plus.
  • Tech Savvy: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email automation tools, and G-Suite.
  • Problem-Solving: Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges in prospect engagement.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively in a mid-day shift and prioritize tasks for multiple markets (USA, Europe, Australia).
