Role & responsibilities

• Verification & recording of invoices by vendors.
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices.
• Ensure that payments made are accurate.
• Check and reconcile invoices with actual payments.
• Report delays, along with the reason for delays to reporting manager.
• Inform, negotiate and develop relationships with vendors to ensure continuous supply, in case of minor delays. Keep track of recurring payments and ensure all recurring payments are made on time.
• Maintain a MIS of all payouts made.
• Ensure that the books are closed, reconciled and shared with reporting manager before the cutoff date at the end of the month.
• Liaise with stake holders to ensure timely closure.
• Ensure all entries are documented in the agreed upon format.
• Support in creation of periodic reports.
• Ensure consistency in creation of reports in their formats and methods adopted.
• Ensure accuracy of reporting.
• Provide actionable insights on the created reports such as cash flow reports, creditor days, debtor days etc.
• Providing auditors with the required documentation, explanations & support to ensure a smooth & efficient audit process.
• Preparing relevant documents, coordinating with auditors, & ensuring that that the audit process aligns with organizational requirements & regulatory standards.
